I am thinking about having my nose pierced but haven't made the decision yet. What I would like to know is if it hurts much and what happens if I end up with a cold. Where does someone go to have their nose pierced? Do I go to the same place that pierces ears? I have my ears pierced twice but all I did was have my friend do them for me the first time and the 2nd one I bought ear piercers. I think that a nose piercing looks cute and neat.

I got my nose pierced about 6 years ago in Ireland, so I'm not sure if anything has changed. But, I only felt a small bit of pain and a few involuntary tears, but after that I have never had any problems (no swelling, redness, etc). I know all people are different, but most people I know said it didn't hurt. I have had both a stud and a small hoop and didn't have any problems. Make sure you go to a reputable place, most likely a tattoo parlour. Also make sure you clean it as often as you are told, to ensure you don't have any problems (just makes it easier to prevent infections). I love my nose piercing, and have had many older people say they liked it too!

I have my nose pierced and to get it done you would need to go to a tatoo/piercing place. It does not really hurt, I put ice on my nose to try to numb it a little before they did it because no one does anything for you. The pain is the same as an ear piercing, it is fast. For a couple days afterward it does like any other piercing, sweels a little, turns red, and your body tries to reject it by pushing it out if you keep twisting it around (like an earring) it will be fine. If you get a cold it is no different, blowing your nose is no different. My experience comes from having a little diamond stub I can not answer if you had a loop in there or anything else. After it heals and you get used to it you forget it is even there.

First of all, go to a professional for your piercing. The nose if full of cartilidge and needs to be pierced in a certain way. Getting it done with a gun can cause major problems since the gun cannot be fully sterilized and it has a tendency to get jammed in thicker areas of the skin.
As for your other questions--I loved my nose piercing, but unfortunately I got a cold about a month later and sneezed it out. No joke. It was like out of a cartoon. Because of the way it came out, my nose got really swollen and I couldn't get the jewelery back in. At the time I didn't have a car so I couldn't go back to the piercer. I did love it for those few weeks though. :)

Yes, it does hurt. You also have to avoid swimming for about 6 months until it heals.
You do have to be a little more careful if you get a cold, especially with a new piercing.
You should also consider what your employer has to say. Many have rules against visible piercings.
That said, choose a reputable body piercing place. It should be clean and have certified body piercers. They should ask you about placement of your piercing and mark it first to let you get an idea.
Remember to follow the after care instructions so that the piercing can heal properly.

no it does not hurt and you can get them done at any tattoo shop if you get a cold you have to clean it a little more and it all goes though your nose well mine did i havent heard of it ever going though your piecing.do not get it done with the earring piercer it will get infected and hurt much more than i tattoo place.and i think i nose ring would look cute on you.lol

likely a nostril piercing because the position I stay abdomen button piercings are fairly elementary and nostril piercings seem tremendous (i'm talking about the area of your nostril in case you advise the interior then abdomen button because the interior piercings make you seem to be a bull)

it doesn't hurt that much when you get it pierced. you go to a tattoo palor to get your nose pierced.
