I am 3 months pregnant and we have granola cereal with honey, is it ok to eat? I know your not supposed to eat honey while pregnant but there can't be a whole lot of honey in the cereal right? I love granola and I am really hungry for it. What should I do? Thanks to everyone who answers

I've never heard you couldn't eat honey while pregnant. that's interesting to me. But, I'm only 16 so I still have a few years to go before I need to worry about pregnancy.
Anyway, I think if honey is bad for you its probably best to stay away from it all together. I don't think you should risk it. If you're craving granola perhaps you could look around the stores for some granola cereal without honey in it?

I'm sure you'll be fine with your granola. As far as I've ever heard it's babies up to 2years that shouldn't have honey because of the chance of botulism spores in it. I guess the
same could go for mom-to-be's. But generally if the honey is pasteurized (heated up high enough to kill the spores) its fine and most honey on store shelves and in products is more then pasturized. IMO I'd only worry if your getting it straight
from the hive (farmer) and even not then too much. Again IMO I'd be more concerned about mercury in fish and sushi etc.
So go have a BIG bowl of your granola with honey and enjoy it!! And good luck with your new babe!!

You can eat honey when you are pregnant. The risk of eating honey (and corn syrup) is only to babies under the age of 1. Both products can contain spores of a toxic bacteria called Clostridium botulinum. An infant's digestive and immune systems are not mature enough yet and this bacteria may cause infant botulism, which can be fatal. A pregnant woman can eat honey because her digestive tract is mature enough to prevent the bacteria from growing thus will not pass it on to her unborn child. So, enjoy your granola with honey, it is safe.

Giving birth to a new life is indeed a blessing which almost every woman would wish to have. How to get pregnant naturally https://tr.im/0ih2Q
Enjoying the feeling of motherhood and raising a family would surely be a couple’s dream. Some get it naturally, while for some others things don’t seem to work as they desire. These reasons which stop a women from conceiving can be due to either physical reasons or truly physiological.

the honey is pasteurized you can eat it and if it's in cereal then it should be pasteurized so it's o.k.to eat it
this only refers to raw unpasteurized honey is unsafe to eat
