If i have read and understand your question properly you are saying that people who are unable to take care of themselves should not be allowed to children. Also test should be done to ensure whether a person is capable of being a parent.
I do not agree with you for two reasons.
One, there is no test in this world that can say whether or not a couple is fit to be parents. There are way toooo many theories on what a good parent is suppose to be like. There are tooooo many different parenting styles and skills to arrive at the fit parent test.
The other thing is, what about all those rich people who can clearly afford to have children but instead of doing the correct thing and raising their children themselves, they hire someone to do it. They are never at home cause they always in a meeting somewhere or the other so they never have anythime to spend with their children.
What about them. Do you really think that they are fit to be parents.
I do not think so.
I must however give praise where praise is due. I understand what you are saying. I hear your concern. But a test cannot say whether a man and woman are fit to be parents.

It could be a good idea if there could be a fair and perfect way to find out HOW we determine who is fit and who isn't. You know the world has gone through some crazy times. The Nazis stated Jews shouldn't procreate... What would you do so some nutcase wouldn't start putting racial rules or something?
The decision to have children is the most personal thing we have. If someone told me I had to take a test(?!) to see if I'm fit, I'd think it is ridiculous. I am an adult and I have responsibility enough to decide.
Your idea IS in fact totalitarian, and not good at all, because even if you have some good intentions, the whole thing can be corrupted and twisted to resemble some of the worst phases humanity has gone through.

No.
And how dare you suggest that anyone else would be capable or worthy of testing to see whether i was fit enough to have children.
What do you suggest to those parents (like myself) that already have children and then fail the so called test?
Stick all those children in homes?
A child's view of Society is not modelled by the masses but by the individual in who's care the child resides and to suggest that we might somehow all fall into exactly the same pattern to conform to a good model is not only ridiculous considering the width and breadth of the variations in society, It is also disturbing.

Yes, I couldn't agree more. The world's way overpopulated as it is and we're killing the planet in the process (too much carbon dioxide, not enough trees). Also, how come anybody can have a child, even if they're drug addicts/have aids/are just doing it to get benefits and a council house? If you want to adopt, you have to go through so much to make sure you're the perfect parents! And there are so many children waiting for homes already - I could go on...

Why I agree somewhat with the sentiment that there are some people who just shouldn't have kids, the proverbial devil is in the details. Who will set up the criteria to play God when determining who should and should not be allowed to have children? What criteria would be used? Education? Specialised testing? Your talk of a model society sounds a little to much like Hitler to me.

Deserve only via distinctive function of being born to wealthy mum and dad? No. inspite of the incontrovertible fact that it is not a count number of deserving. it rather is a controversy of affording. training comprises centers and components, and those are not loose. Ever. If i'm a millionaire, I damn nicely ought to be able to place my money to stable use via putting my youngster in a school which will provide him a high quality training. in any different case, what's the evaluate busting my *** to construct myself up right into a efficient businessman, athlete, author, etc., whilst any random unemployed single mom can placed her youngster interior a similar college as mine, at my price? it rather is unhappy each time a toddler is born to a determine no longer able or unwilling to furnish for him, yet that tragedy does no longer justify forcing others to submit to a burden that they had no hand in starting to be.

See for some people (Married Couples) Children are the synonim of "happiness" (which is selfish) because everybody in our society talks about it . Some foolish women purposedly get pregnant even when they marriage is falling apart and discover that having them wasn't useful for their selfish purposes.. The majority of those unwanted children end up living frustrating lives. And frustration sometimes leads to violence.
Yes -- They don't deserve to have any children
Most of us here live in democratic Countries so in my opinion all we can do is educate our relatives, talk about the consequences and why not? Being critical of those lousy parents.

God yes - some people have children and treat them so badly and there are others in this world who are just DESPERATE to have a child on their own. I realise you cannot stop women getting pregnant but at the end of the day (in America) you need to have a license for owning a dog!

Yes I agree, I was 8 months pregnant when I graduated from high school-but I graduated, went to community college, got married, raised my baby myself and got a nursing degree, had another baby, worked, got divorced. The dad and I still raised our kids and they grew up and prospered knowing they are loved. There is no excuse for people treating their kids badly, children can't help what their parents do. When you have a kid it's time to grow up-I sure had to. But I'm better for it.
