My Ipod judt busted so I was thinking about getting another... but a thought just crossed my mind. I love gaming, have an xbox, but was wondering how is the music play back on the PSP. Is it woth getting, is it comparable to IPOD for being user friendly with all the added bonuses. And lastly is there a PSP 2 coming out soon to make the current one an after thought?

Either one is good. PSP's have good sound quality but they are more expensive if you are a music lover because they require a memory card to add songs on and they can be very expensive to add 3 or 5 gigabytes of music storage on it. With the Ipod you are pretty much limited to the games that come stocked with or a few other games that can be purchased through itunes, nothing extravagant about them. On the other hand you can hod alot more songs and videos depending on what Ipod you were thinking about. So if you think you want something good for both gaming and music go with the PSP. You can't store as many songs on it but the sound quality is about the same. If you are really into listening to music (more than Gaming) go with the Ipod.

The current version of PSP is VERY particular on the format of the file, name of the files and location of the file when you putting music and video in the system. Lot of people are having trouble put video and music in the system because of this. Unless you willing to learn how to jumping all those hoops to get music to your PSP, I think you should just get another IPOD.

Also, you can only put the music and video in the memory stick. There is no hard drive in PSP (they should) The biggest size is 4 Gig. So, if you get used to putting lot of music in IPOD, you cannot do that in PSP.
