yes you could. with the facilities you have today, you can have millions of friends for instance via newsgroups or via the chat. but the thing is not how many friends you have but if you have true, reliable and trustworthy friends. i'd prefer have a honest and sincere friend than have 100 friends who would not hesitate to stab me in the back! think about it...

Yes, never stick to one only. He might turn his back to you one day. But remember, the best friend a person can have is his own person. Rest are just friends, acquaintances or colleagues.
