I want to be able to do it for free, as I really don't have the funds to pay for a website. I did at one time have one of the Idiot's Guide books, but I still couldn't figure it out (yes, I'm a technological idiot!).
Thanks for your help.

You may want to get a Microsoft Frontpage, though it is already non-existent. (you can get it from older versions of Microsoft Office)

or you may want to try the new website maker of Microsoft Office (i dont know the name)

I recommend these programs because, most people are very familiar of Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Word. Microsoft Frontpage and the newer version is just like a Microsoft Word with more features etc.

Without HTML: www.tripod.lycos.com

With HTML: Go to notepad (not anything else!) and type in your codes. Then save it as ____________.HTML
Next you will see an icon with your webrowser on it with your homepage.

Good Luck
