I personaly like the prairie style like the Taliesin East designed by Frank Lyod Wright, but it doesn't matter what I like I just want to know what style everyone else likes and which one is the most popular, nothing plain please I'm sick of Gable roof farm houses.

I'm a architecture design student in college but I can't afford to go get my licence but here in North Carolina you can be a residential designer and design houses that are less then 3 stories tall, so I'm trying to start a bessniss straight out of college called

I've always loved the spanish style of home building. True, it's mostly a square or many squares, but I've always felt that it has a romantic and mysterious quality about it. And I must admit to having a fondness for the "old west".

I love 40s style brick Tudors and shingle bungalows.. Also love Victorian homes.. big and flamboyant. Older homes were so much more graceful and stylish than the vinyl-sided boxes they throw up all over the country these days...

I am drawn to the Shaker and Mission styles.
I like the simple straight lines and rich woods used in the construction of these styles.

I also tend to be drawn to the old farmhouse style you seem to be sick of. I like the open airy feeling of wrap around porches and lots of window.

Cape Cod. I like the Cape Cod because it reminds me of the home I grew up in......nostalgia.
