I'd put up a post in craigs list or a website for singers/bands stating you have original poems & lyrics. Give a short explanation of their style and contact information. Some musicians might be interested. Just be sure you copyright your material first.

Or Publish your own book?Choose your destination.For example,if you want your poems to be published in magazines,send some of your best to them with a self addressed cover and a letter.Request them to write to you the defects they found in your poems if they are not selected.Correct the mistakes referred by them and then again try.That's what I did and still doing.
