Every adult should get at least 8 hours everynight. You can't 'make up' sleep if you lose it.

I know it's unrealistic to think that everyone will get that much but it's something to strive towards.

Sleep is necessary for your body to heal and rest. Sleep deprivation causes more deaths on the highway than just about anything else. (besides driving under the influence)

Listen to your body. Your own body knows how much sleep you really need. Everyone is different. For example, I LOVE to sleep and I can never get enough. One of my best friends loves to wake up and doesn't like to sleep as much as I do. We all have different needs.

Another reason for sleep?
Why do you think they call it 'beauty sleep'. Because you can't expect to look great if you don't get it~ Make sense?

Good luck and great sleep~!

I think it's 6-9 hours. I'm 22 as well and I find that if I get less that 7 hours, I can barely function throughout the day

4 a healthy person 8 hours is good enough 4 a sleep, unless u r sick(touch wood) then u should sleep slightly more than 8 hours.don't ever think that sleep more is better as this's a bad habit, the more u sleep the lazier n the more tiredness u r.

8 hours at least. More if you want to have longer dreams.

It was recently discovered that if one has not had enough sleep it is more difficult to form new memories. This makes it harder to learn. So....lack of sleep impedes scholastic performance.

Your mind needs quiet dream time to iron out the random "brain noise" acquired during the day. If this is not canceled out, your brain will become more sluggish in general.

Some people think that sleep is worthless, but it is far from it. It is neccessary for good health.

As much as your body tells you to get. If you are not getting enough you will fall asleep during the movie so don't worry about that.
