I sometimes find a website which won't be closed down (to let me go back to my search results). I have to close the browser, re-open it, and enter the search details again. What is this method called? I never buy from these, or recommend them, as it is really unfriendly and stops the search. How would you describe this, technically? Thanks.

well its a very harmful site... which definitely contains a virus or spyware. these sites are called "browser hijackers". AVOID those sites completely unless u want to end up with an infected PC.
