I'm trying to expand my cd collection. I like all kinds of music, classical, 70's, 80's, 90's, top 40 of today, rap, salsa, you name it.
What cds should I get? What are favourites you'd recommend?

I'd like to buy 100 cds within the next year. I'd like to know what other people's favourites are.
I'd appreciate it if you would list any number of your favourite songs or artists on here, as few as 1 or as many as 100. Thanks.

most good collection boxes house around 5 Cd's to a box --- so if you were to go 70's;80's;90's; etc you've got at least 20 --- move on to classical --- and you will 10 to a box of opera , easy listening percussion ; (m Ive got 15 in the entire movement of the messiah ) and so on . so fresh will give you a couple for top 40 each season (spring ; summer etc ) --- rap ---well!! being an oldie --- i only know hilltop hoods ! Good luck

Y'all aren't answering the question - she wants to buy CDs, not get rid of them.

Anyway, I'd recommend anything by Dusty Springfield - she sung in a variety of styles, soul; blues; pop; etc. The most critically acclaimed of her albums is 'Dusty In Memphis', so why not give that a listen? You won't regret it :)

The ones you listen to all the time are the ones that you should keep. Maybe a couple of stray ones.
