i just started to chart my temps on day 16 of my cycle. my temps where 97.0-97.4. it is now day 28 of my cycle. i'm a little confused i thought i ovulated on day 27 because my temp went up to 98.1. however, this am (day 28) it is 97.4. my last period was feb 17. I'll assume my body is trying to ovulate. But, has anyone had problems with basal thermometers? i got mine at walmart so, i'm thinking maybe its not accurate

the ones at walmart are fine, it's possible that you already missed ovulation, though I'm assuming you must have longer cycles... keep temping though. Also you can enter your temps at fertilityfriend.com and it'll help you analyze, you also might want to chart other fertility symptoms as well.

I just started charting my temps too. I began 20 day into my cycle...my cycles are long 35-50day. I am not sure either if I missed my ovulation. I have also used opk to also determine my ovulation time...but get this from cycle day 20 I've had a positive reading...it is now day 38! I was briefly on the pill, and still feel that my cycle is still all messed up. I think you should wait till you have at least three full charting cycles before you can pin point when you ovulate. I know this is not what you want to hear, but it is what I am going to have to do too.Best of luck! Baby dust to you and everyone else out there ttc!
