The reason am asking this is obviously some women still experience periods while preganant andwa swandering how common this is..thanks.x

i had 2 periods then they stopped. thats why i was so shocked when i went to the dr. I thought I was only 2 months along and it was actually 4!!

Mine stopped straight away with both children but a close friend had them for five months. She had some surgery done and the doctor said it would take her at least a year to become pregnant. She became pregnant straight away and when her periods stopped she found out she had for months left. She wasn't putting on much weight but the baby was fine.

You are right, some women do experience their cycle during pregnancy but this is not very common, even though they do have healthy babies as a result. I have a friend who had her period up until her 6th month, the only difference with her is that she was mostly ill as she was losing blood, she had to take alot of iron supplements and eat alot of liver........Yuck! She had a healthy baby boy at 32 weeks and he is doing great still.

Mine stopped but got all the symtoms that id usually have before a period but it never came , im now 6 and a half weeks pregnant :0) XxxXXx

with my second i think it lasted about 2 months after i found out. I use to work for an insurance company and have seen a few that never knew they were pregnant. had periods the whole time and were admitted for back pain to the hospital (i saw them b/c i worked in the appeals department)

Mine stopped completely before i found out i was pregnant. I've always had irregular periods anyway so didn't think anything of it untill the usual tell tale signs of pregnancy

Hiya, Mine stopped as soon as i became pregnant. I have never known anyone to still have periods whilst pregnant, but i suppose there must be a few that still do.

Yes, my period stopped when I fell Pregnant! I think it quite an uncommon thing to keep having periods when pregnant, it does happen, but not that much in comparison to pregnancies!

mine stopped..but by nearly the end of my pregnancy started again..now that is not your periods though ..and its very important to get yourself checked out if your pregnant and bleeding, because it can be a sign of something being wrong and you have to be checked out to make sure everything is going okay.
