I am circumcised. It is cleaner, gives you a greater chance of not catching an std, I think that it looks nicer, gives you a greater chance of not giving a girl cervical cancer, and many men are circumcised. And any talk of desensitization is absolutely FALSE. Mine is definitely not desensitized. It feels great! There is no problem with it rubbing against my clothes or whatever bullshit is said about that.

There is a lot of data today that supports circumcision being a prevention aid for HIV but still no guarantee. Personal hygiene also plays a big part in whether circumcision has any benefit. If circumcised, the glans stays cleaner and there is no buildup of fluid, sweat or gunk under the loose skin. There is a lot of talk about losing sensitivity but I would say that is baloney as I have plenty of that. I don't know what it would be like to have the skin left on and feeling the contact during masturbation but I can feel just fine without it. I think that cultures or customs where you are born have a bigger impact on whether you should have it done or not. I guess to each their own.

If there are any advantages to being circumcised, then it would be hygiene BUT, I'm not circumcised and I wash daily and I have had no problems. So the only reason I can think of would be medical.

I live in the UK and I don’t know anyone who’s circumcised. It was interesting what lnfrared had to say, at my side it would be the opposite (kids would get ridiculed if they had it done).
There are two things I’ve never understood. Firstly this “cleaner” part, do people not wash these days. You could get a kid’s fingers cut off and they wouldn’t be able to pick their nose or lift up rubbish (so that would be cleaner). Secondly, what gives any adult the right to inflict this mutilation onto an innocent child? If my parents had done that to me, I’d never have spoken to them again. I think it’s perverted and it’s another form of child abuse.

There is no advantage of being circumcised besides it prevents the sweat under the skin, as a cost it takes away all the charm of little johnny's smooth skin.

it is supposed to be healthier for you but if you are uncut then you just have to keep that area clean. Some guys enjoy UC men- some cannot stand it. Being European it is much more common to see uncut guys in Europe. Here in the US it seems that cut guys are the norm. It only matters how it makes you feel. If you are uncut then just enjoy it!

I agree with MrCute, but I think parents have it done because they don't want the responsibility of cleaning it when junior is in diapers. Sometimes they take too much and then the scrotum is stretched to the limit when erect. Let the guy have it done when he's an adult so it is done right.

I've heard that there is less chance for the transmission of HIV.
But I've also heard that a significant portion of nerve tissue is removed in the process.
