I was considering becoming a military doctor in time, and the thought of serving in the armed forces is thrilling to me, but I've heard that often military doctors are just people trying to get through paid med. school and aren't top of the line. I am determined to be top of the line by the time I get to college, so do you think military is the way to go, or should I just become a normal civilian doctor?

Military doctors are very talented.

The Iraqi conflict is evidence of their talent. The Iraqi War has a higher survival rate of casualties than any previous war. This is due to the tremendous ability of military doctors (an medical staff) in treating the wounded.

That is total wack. Military Doctors are VERY talented. They Graduated form the same school s civilian Dr.s did!
Anyways if you go the civilian route, Doctors at Charity hospitals are said to be some of the best because they deal with very high trauma in the ER more frequently. So if you are in it for helping those in the military or those who desperately need it the most both are good routes to take.

Doctors are as good as their education, skills, and dedication permit, whether they are civilians or military. You should make this decision only after you have completed your medical education and internship. A military medical career can be very rewarding. No matter what you decide, you should always try to do the best you can. that's the secret to a happy career.
