i just started to chart my temps on day 16 of my cycle. my temps where 97.0-97.4. it is now day 28 of my cycle. i'm a little confused i thought i ovulated on day 27 because my temp went up to 98.1. however, this am (day 28) it is 97.4. my last period was feb 17. I'll assume my body is trying to ovulate. But, has anyone had problems with basal thermometers? i got mine at walmart so, i'm thinking maybe its not accurate.

It's probably accurate. Even if you're regular, your temp can still vary "that time of the month".

With my daughter (30 weeks pregnant and counting), my temperature was 99.1 for about two weeks. I didn't even put two and two together. I went to the doctor, and they told me I was pregnant. lol. Surprise.

Are you trying to get pregnant?

Your basal body temp may raise a degree for a couple of weeks like mine did once you're pregnant, but it sounds like there's nothing wrong with your thermometer.

The Basal thermometer has a greater limited selection - this permits you recognize whilst your temperature lowers or will boost 3 stages. Its stressful to work out the replace to the correct quantity on a customary thermometer.

Actually, if you're on day 28, the temperature drop most likely means you are about to start your period. Temps only rise for a while after ovulation. Unless you are pregnant, you can expect a drop again when time nears for your period.
