Hi what steve says is true but wireless doesn't always suck. I got my 360 linked to a belkin F5D7330 wireless gaming adapter which links wireless to a netgear DG834G wireless router. Make sure you are at least wireless G (54mbps) or otherwise you may have problems.

I first set this up on the old xbox and got my son, who is a Halo 2 expert to play online on the teamxlink site. For all of you out there who don't know what this is then its a free site where you can play games online for free. It better than xbc and easier to use than xbox live but it not suitable really for the new 360 games although you can play halo 2 on the 360 on xlink.

My son entered a game and easily won the round (as usual) and said the gameplay was as good as being wired to the router which is how his is done.

I play online with the 360 on mot gp3 and suffer no lag or problems. So long as you got a decent download and upload speed you will be fine but just bear in mind wireless will always be just a fraction slower than wired.

Wireless gaming adapters are NOT plug and play despite what it may say on the box and you will need to configure it a little. If you get one and need a hand drop me an email.

Maybe see you on line and if anyone wants to play Halo2 online check out the following link

No you don't. The official wireless adapter is more than twice the price of a wireless bridge that will do the same job. all you have to do is buy a wireless bridge and set it down next to the 360. Run a short network cable from the bridge to the rear of the 360 and you will be done.

Your wireless router will communicate with the bridge, which will communicate with the 360 through the short cable.

My advice is to not go wireless if you have the option. Run a network cable directly to the rear of the unit for better online performance.
