Oh damn poor Tigerfly's eyes. I was quite scathing when answering a question like this a couple of months ago and now I'm stuck too!!
OK, I've been invited to an evening wedding reception this weekend. I don't know the couple, I am my boyfriend's 'plus 1'.
It's being held in a castle.
I was thinking of wearing a short black sequined dress (not bad 80's!! V cool ASOS stylee thing) with flat pixie boots to tone it down. It covers my boobs so there's no cleavage on show, it just shows (quite) a bit of leg. Is this ok or should I be running down the high street for a nice girly 50's frock asap?

personally i wouldnt wear pixie boots to a wedding...it would just look too casual but if its your style then go for it...but i would wear the black dress with some shoes like these

and then to make it glamourous a clutch like this:

good luck and enjoy the night!

Sounds good but I would swap the boots for heels for a more classier feel. Enjoy the wedding!
