As far as I have been able to tell, it consists of simply not prosecuting a large number of crimes, including very serious instances of assault. While these are not included in the statistics, the impression given is that there is less crime about and the clear up rate is excellent. It may sound cynical, but I have seen too much of this happening among the people over the past few years among the people I know. One of my family was nearly murdered by a gang of youths and because no arrests were made, when he sought compensation he was horrified to discover that the police report described his very serious injuries as consistent with his falling over and hurting himself! In that way, something which initially started as a potential murder enquiry was reduced to....no crime at all!

They just fiddle the statistics. Weak on crime and weak on the causes of crime.

They just keep re-classifying the different types of crime, so that on paper, crime figures appear to have reduced.

I believe its to deplete all forms of security personnel until there is no other option besides mayhem in the streets. At least if that is the plan, they are on target.

i think the NEW strategy is to treat ALL criminals with RESPECT, so that they can integrate in society better. Give them easy peasy pnishment and make sure they all have playstions in their rooms....

that way we all live happily ever after!

If you remove the stats for victimless crimes, then the crime rate would be what, half of what it currently is. It's skewed.
