I am a 13-year-old girl. A lot of kids in my school think I'm weird because I'm not like normal girls my age. I hate malls, shopping, make-up, skirts, etc. Most girls love probably at least 75% of that. I'd rather go outside & go camping or go hiking or play football. Am I weird?

No you are not weird. You are just not average. That is a good thing because what would be considered the average teenage girl these days is not so great.
I am a grown woman with a husband and two grown sons. I have never liked mall shopping. I do like clothes and shoes but I like to go get them in one trip if possible. I like shopping in some stores but not to the point that other women do. I hate dresses and I would rather mow the yard than cook supper. Just be you.

You aren't weird. Once you get older, people will appreciate you more for your uniqueness (is that a word?). Anyway, I don't like the whole shopping thing either. Don't do that shopping, mall, makeup stuff unless you want to because later you'll feel so dumb for giving in to peer pressure. You be you, and don't forget that you aren't the only one who's not some pink, frilly drama queen. You are awesome. ^__^

You're not weird. You're just different. You're an individual and you don't need to act the same as everyone else because you don't find the need to impress anyone.

Take pride in your uniqueness and when your peers mature, they'll realize that being a "sheep" isn't what life is about either.

I'm 40 and the only reason I go shopping is because my children and I have to wear clothing to go out in public (at home too, in case you're wondering) Only in adolescence are you "rewarded" for following the norm. When you become an adult all those things that make you unique are what's important. Make your own way in life by staying true to yourself.

congratulations!

You are smart and not afraid of being true to yourself!
I am proud of you. The Independence you display is refreshing. I am sure that you will think ... about ideas and principles of life, how you can explore more than your neighborhood. There is a whole world waiting for you to experience new things and become a citizen of the world and the universe!

YOU ROCK!

No ma'am,you're not weird. You're just mature for your age. Don't worry about it. In time, your classmates will come around especially if they go camping and wonder how you get the pizza delivery guy to come out to the woods, lol.

Not at all. It just means that you are a down to earth kind of gal that prefers things to be real instead of frivolous and made up. Sounds like you've got a good head on your shoulders.
You go Girl!!
