Adopting babies from abroad just seems to be a must-have fashion accessory amongst celebs now. It's a really good thing to do but only for the right reasons.

there are many people out there who want to adopt a child.so if they want to adopt a child from abroad what is wrong with that it gives the child a chance of a loving home and the parents the chance to have the pleasure of bringing up a child

Ellie is right and also nothing has changed, we have been adopting kids from other countries for years, it is just media hype focused on movie stars who have done this...that is all !!..( kids are kids ... all over the world ... they all deserve to be loved and nurtured by a parent, adopted or not)....a big hello, from Downunder.........

If you have every tried to adopt a child within Europe you wouldn't need to ask this question.
It is SO SO difficult believe it or not, so many children are in children's homes just waiting for a loving family. The system is crap, that's why people go elsewhere.
Even if they do go elsewhere, maybe it is their choice, and I'm all for that.

I honestly think its a good thing as they are helping and providing a better safer enviroment and poss better life for the child.
however saying this i do think there are many kids in this country that need foster/adpotive parents and we should focus on this country before others.
i have no problem with it i dont think its a new cult.

it is fashionable and easier for these celebrities
why don't they start adopting children with disabilities instead to draw attention to the fact that they wont to give any child a safe loving home
lets face it they would have they money to take proper care of them

It's ok, but I think that kids from 'home' should be supported too. There's nothing wrong with them.
And yes, it is being blown up out of proportion.

The system is partly to blame...it is sometimes easier to adopt over seas than it is here.
