Love is an evocative experience. One tends to forget everything else.In attachment you remember where you are and what you are doing. It has a purpose and design. These may not always be injurious, but it keeps the curiosity alive.
Attachment is an element of Maya. Love, on the other hand can reach the level of divinity. You can give up everything for the sake of love. But attachment keeps you rotating towards the object.

LOVE CANNOT EXIST WITHOUT ATTACHMENT

BUT ATTACHMENT CAN EXIST WITHOUT LOVE

Love means attaching and bonding oneself with the loved one emotionally, intellectually and whole heartedly and to remain commited to it under whatever circumstance. It is metaphysical. Physical union is incidental depending on the way they are related. LOVE is beyond any purpose.

Unlike love , attachment can emerge for any single reason. It is need based and once the need is over they can detach. For example co-partioners of a joint family, partners in business, a fan of an artist, members of an association.
even, a bride and her mothers', and that one that exists between OUR PHYSICAL BODY AND OUR PRANA (life energy} or SOUL.

Attachment is a mental condition of one pointed clinging to another person, bordering on an unbalanced behaviour on the part of a person. Love is a natural feeling of a person towards another, which seeks to fulfil the biological as well psychological need for togetherness.

'Love' in actual and idealistically, a form of only 'Giving'. 'Attachment' is by and large a combination of 'Giving' and 'taking Back' too. It is not a pure giving. The 'Taking' can happen due to 'Expectations' which can happen in 'Attachments'.

You can love something enough to let it go if it would be happier without you. If you are attached you want to keep it for yourself.
