I respect your feelings towards your brother. As he himself is a parent for you in your life. As you have stated that you are in love with some guy. First of all you have clear your doubts about your love, Like: His family background, His attitude, His feelings towards you etc etc. Once you are clear with all your doubts. Then you can make your brother & your love to sit together & clear all their mis-understandings. Then its very easy for you to convince your brother as a Parent in this huge world. Think & decide as you are going to stay with your love for this lifetime. If you are not happy, then its sure that you brother who loves you very much will be sad & upset for the lifetime. Your brother may be more mature & may not be convinced by your choice . Use your calibre most & try to make him listen fully . Try to convince him. Here is real test of your calibre. Careful choice of words for convincing him will be critical. If he is resonable u will succeed. After all, he is your brother & so, best wisher too. Pray God for success. This will give mental satisfaction.

That shouldnt matter if you really love the guy go for it, forget what your brother says. Do whatever makes you happy. Love is hard to find, you never know when it will come back around.

If the guy really loves you he better marry you and take you out of your brother's household because once your brother finds out he will most likely throw you out.

Why is your brother against it? Are his reasons valid? Does this boy mistreat you or something? If the boy is good to you , then you should discuss it with another relative. Do you have aunts or uncles who can intervene?
