If an employee cannot provide you with a P45 then you can complete a P46.

When you registered with the Revenue to employ people you should have received a new employer pack.

This contains everything you need to know about running a PAYE scheme, what information you require from your employees, what you need to do step by step and by what date. Most of it is on a CD rom, and includes software to calculate what tax to deduct, what national insurance contribution to deduct, and how to calculate any statutory payments such as Statutory Sickness Pay (SSP), Statutory maternity pay (SMP) etc.

You can also go to the link below for information, and you can call the new employer helpline on 0845 6070143.

We are coming up to the end of the tax year so now is the time to get ready to submit your PAYE tax returns (P35 and P14's) and as you started in November you must make sure that all payments due are received by 19/04/07, and that your returns are filed successfully with the Revenue by 19/05/07.

Failure to do so will mean that the Revenue will charge you interest on all outstanding monies as from 19/04/07 and charge you late filing penalties for your return, and this can be as much as £100.00 per month or part thereof per 50 employees.

hi you should need employee name, hourly pay rate, overtime pay rate, tax code, NINO, the correct table letter of NIC contributions, any statutory deductions, any other deduction etc these are the essentials that determine the net figure from gross.
