I pluged Lan cable to telephone jack in my laptop and bured it... How much power does LAN carry?

does anyone know how much volts /current lan jack/wireing carry?

Well its not the LAN carring the power, its your phoneline. Phone lines have both power and available current in order to make your phones ring. Then that gets connected to your laptops LAN port the voltages are transferred to very low voltage circuits inside your eithernet card and they will fry.

Dont directly connect LAN to phone lines they are different and the direct connection will usually take out the eithernet card on your machine (if you are lucky that is all that will get damaged.)

Hey please undo it as soon as possible. Nothing will go wrong but also nothing will happen.

LAN cards use a fraction of voltage as comaped to telephone lines and use much lesser current.

But never do vice versa of it, but if u do and someone calls at a min you LAN will be fried and at the worse the motherboard of your laptop can be damages all depends upon the hardware design of the motherboard
