I would tell you that firstly, i would have to hear you, but i would finish school, not for your parents, but for something to fall back on [ if your music doesn't go anywhere. ]
But I pretty sure you would do fine seeing as now-a-days they're letting anyone rap. Just follow your dreams, not after someone else's.

Why not? Go for it. I'd be careful to have a back-up skill/profession though, but sure, why not?
One thing I'd also advise- try to stand out over the countless other rapper-wannabees out there. Rap/hip hop is in a stagnant state right now & it can sure use a huge kick in the a z z. Be different & original. Avoid the mainstream cliches. In fact, you might be better off sticking to the indie route with it. This way, your creativity isn't stifled by some big, fat faceless record company telling you what to do.
Good luck

Rapping is surely a good profession nowadays as many music companies r looking 4 rappers but the main Queston is that do u have the capability to bacome a professional?
If u think that u have the potential then go ahead but you have to look out as there r many rappers out there.
My true wishes r with u and if u choose rapping as a profession, then may u succeed! XD

You need to finish school & go to university. It's nice to have something on the side, but you likely should consider rapping as a hobby, because 99 out of 100 wanna-be rappers NEVER make it past their first album (and most of them don't even make it in general). Do yourself a favor and get your education so you can get further in life.

Don't let anyone destroy your career dreams. I was at a career breakfast yesterday where students my age got to meet and are going to be mentored by people in the community who currently have the job we want to aspire.
The most important thing I felt was said when they passed the microphone around to all the mentors and mentees which was-
"You are the person who has to wake up everyday and go to work. You should be able to love your job and love getting up and go to work happily."
Keep that in mind when choosing your job/college.

i doubt it. if you're asking other people whether you should rap or not then i guess you're not confident about your rapping skill.
although it's better to finish school then maybe try to allot some time for rapping.
remember, the number of successful rappers is just a very very small fraction of the unsuccessful ones.
