Shyness seems like such a downside to life to those who adopt it so would shyness be something to get over or deal with permenantly

No, it can be overcome. I was shy before, but I learned to overcome it..

It dosn't have to be permanent. Everyone has a personaility of their own. Sometimes, just because they're shy, not many people see the amazing person they really are.

I believe, lots of people who are shy, have not much self-confidence in themselves. Most of the time its the word of other people that affects them.

One should never feel that he/she is not good enough. People should accept you for you are & not try to change you to someone they want you to be :)

You've gotta love yourself before you can love anyone else :)

You need to actively overcome it, and it won't go away just by just waiting and wishing. "Shyness" is a polite way of saying "weakness," most often.

A psychiatrist can help. It depends on what it is coming from, therapie can take quite some time! Supjpoort from Friends/ Familie helps as well.

shyness is naturaL, u shouLd feeL shy if u do bad things, u shouLd not feeL shy if u r doing good, put shyness were it shouLd be, hav controLL and just aLways use your conscience

no, shyness is not permanent, one can overcome it by developing ones social skills. one effective way is to start your day with a smile... =) be generous with your smile, no sooner you will be gaining friends and be sociable...

I don't know, it seems permanent to me. I never adopted it. It just seems like something you adapt to.
