No I know it starts with a Q i just can't remember the rest of the word that is the one thing that really sucks about getting old I seen the name of this plant (vegatation) but I just can't remember the rest of the word! I could kick my self for not making a note of it for safe keeping I even had a dream about it I can remember what it looks like in detail it almost looks like califlower but color wise any way and size and shape but it is more like a solid thing like a punpkin!

oh well thanks for all the help and tring I quess if it is meant to be I will find it some day!

Hi, I read with interest your question and decided to do some research. The only fruit I could find that starts with the letter "Q" is the Quandong, which grows in Australia. It's not white and green nor is it anywhere near the size of a pumpkin. Check out the Web site. http://www.nectarbrook.com/quandong/tree.html

Secondly, I've found a squash that resembles your description but it starts with the letter "C". Check out the Web site. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.news.cornell.edu/photos/DelicataSquash.300.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.news.cornell.edu/releases/Oct01/DelicataSquash.bpf.html&h=1377&w=858&sz=495&tbnid=RXkgkYmr2hk1WM:&tbnh=150&tbnw=93&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dphotos%2Bof%2Bsquash&start=1&sa=X&oi=images&ct=image&cd=1

I've also checked out many herb names. To find something edible that starts with the letter "Q" is very rare indeed. Maybe at a young age you thought the word began with the letter "Q" but may have in fact began with the letter "K" or "C" or maybe your grandmother said it in native language if not born in the US. You have surely given me a challenge. I hope you find what you're looking for. I know the feeling of trying to search my memory for things that brought me pleasure as a child. Unfortunately, many things remain just that; a pleasurable memory. Hey, let us know if you find the answer!
