Torrent is a peer-to-peer protocol for file exchange. Have you heard about eMule or DC++? So, this one is another method to download files from other people on the net. My favourite programme to download torrents is BitTorent (more about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitTorrent). It's rather easy to install(see the link below) and use. Once you have installed it, find a site with torrent links, register (most of those require registration) and start enjoying fast downloads(sometimes, it's possible to get a DVDrip movie in less than 10 minutes).
