How long has the government been telling you that oil is getting scarce? Since 1972 fuel efficiency has been stressed and yet America buys SUV's. Gas prices are never going to be low again, get used to it. There will be no alternative fuel until the price of gasoline is at least as expensive as any alternative.

You don't know what you are talking about. Pres. Bush has made some mistakes, but he does NOT set gas prices. Do a little research and ignore the crap you see on the tube, and you'll realize how ignorant you just made yourself sound. The big oil companies are gouging the hell out of us though. They deny it, but how do you post record profits when oil prices are at the highest ever and then say that it's not you? As for the Presidents links to big oil...hmmmm.

Looks like the US is moving to join the real world. Prices in Australia are around US $1.02 per litre. Don't know how many litres to the US gallon, but it is more than 3. Australian fuel prices are far lower than in Europe. Don't blame Mr. Bush for that, it had to happen.
