Is there a law for who should clean restaurant toillets? Should it be the kitchen porter, the waiting staff or it doesn't matter who does it as long as they're clean.

Guaranteed that many restaurants will try to coerce their staff into doing it. Most employees are very weak-minded and don't stand up for themselves, nor do they understand that employment is a two-way street.

Unless outside help is hired for the sole purpose of periodically cleaning the restrooms all day, then the host and hostesses should be delegated the responsibility of making sure that the restrooms are functional, sanitized and well equipped, and pleasantly fragrant. When they are busy, then this task should be done by the managers of the establishment.

At our restaurant it is the job of the host/hostess. The servers can't do it, if you walked into the bathroom and saw your server cleaning up a mess, would you want them to serve your food? If there is a plumbing problem, and not just paper towels on the floor or a messy sink, the dishwasher cleans it up.

its usually the nightly cleaners job but when i was a host i had to unclog the toilet and then clean it. if its got to be done then its got to be done. some resturants dont have a contract cleaner and they rely on thier front of house staff to clean the resturant and the restrooms so it depends where it is and the situation.
