this is a very simple answer, puppies are like babies, if you didn't tell a kid what a toilet was or show them then no doubt they would probably do exactly the same. its a case of learning the puppy hes done wrong. the best but 'crude' way of dealing with this is soon as the puppy does this, rub his nose in it, tap him on the nose and in a firm voice say 'no' and then put the dog in a secure run outside or where he cant escape. i know it sounds a bit rough but my parents breed dogs and they found this the best and fastest method of learning plus it don't harm the dog.

Jack Russells can be a high energy dog...very excitable...you must take special care to get him/her outside more often. Don't forget to praise when they do their doo doo outside.

My father in law, used to rub mustard, on his dogs nose, when weeing or pooping.

just because dogs are mans best friend doesn't mean they are automatically program to to use the toilet.

Because you haven't tough him not to yet.It takes more than a few days. use a crate to help train him,it is the fastest and easiest way to train...And its not TRAUMATIC....

Be patient he will start peeing outside soon. Don't smack him.
Just tell him he's a bad boy and put him outside.
