FOIL

(X + 4)(X + 1) = x² + 4x + x +4 =

x² + 5x + 4

- - - - - - - - - -

(x + 3)(x + 5) = x² + 3x + 5x + 15 =

x² + 8x + 15

- - - - - - - - - -

(3x + 1/3)(2x - 1/9) = x + 1/3x - 3/9x - 1/27 =

5x² + 1/3x - 1/27

Question b:
x² + 5x + 3x + 15 = x² + 8x + 15

Question c:
6x² - x/3 + 2x/3 - 1/27 = 6x² + x/3 - 1/27

I love the foil method. I love math too. At first I didn't, but after spending hours a day practicing for 2 months I feel pretty good about it. That's what I would suggest to you. Ask for help there's nothing wrong with that, but do your own work. That's why we are so low in comparison to other nations in education.

Yeah, I'm not doing your homework, but I'll remind you of the method.

(a+b)(c+d)

F - First
Multiply the first part of each bino.. bi... each pair.
axc

O - Outside
Multiply the outside
axd

I - Inside
Multiply the inside
bxc

L - Last
Multiply the last
bxd

Then, add together the ones you can.
Remember you can't add an x to an x^2

It's not to hard... you can do it! It just takes time.
