It depends on what you are interested in. Cape Town boasts a host of top quality restaurants. Many of them are concentrated on the V & A Waterfront. There's Balducci's, Emily's and Balthezar to name a few. The Protea Hotel opposite the traffic department in Somerset road has an amazing restuarant.

The Artscape Theatre, the Baxter and a few other smaller theatres regularly host plays and operas as well. There are a few art galleries currently running art exhibitions by up and coming South African artists. The South African National Gallery and the Bell-Roberts Contemporary Art Gallery are two of the more popular galleries.

Global Breakthrough events have recently wrapped up a two week international clubbing tour with Steve Bug, Ame, Mark Knight, James Zabiela, DJ Spen and Lee Burridge. Clubs like Opium, HQ, Pulse, Chrome, The Bang Bang Club and Deluxe provide club nights of a very high standard. They focus on a music policy encompassing different styles of house music. Another venue making waves at the moment is Fiction. The Friday night is dedicated to minimal house, techno and electro. Japan's DJ Krush is due to play Cape Town soon.

There are plenty of pubs, bars and cocktail lounges down Long Street and Somerset road in Sea Point as well. Miam Miam, which up until recently was a club as well as Boabab are great venues and the reliable Long Street Cafe is a relaible standby for pre-party drinks. Joburg and Marvel bars have a more left field music policy and Mercury Live always has bands of a very high standard playing there.

If you feel like a drive, Stellenbosch also comes alive on a Friday night. There are places like Nova Lounge and Nubar which cater for a more upmarket crowd and Bohemia just down the road which oftem has live music on show. The Mystic Boer is around the corner, a club/bar type set up with a musical policy ecompassing rock, alternative, nu school breaks, drum and bass, hip hop and live bands.

Fill out the rest of your immigration documents!!

Ba bing, wadda boom!
Ouch! Ok Ok

Stop being so touchy!

I like London´s idea.
Otherwise, what about sun-downers at the Blue Peters in Blouberg.
And when last have you been out to Fish Hoek or Simons Town, there are some good pubs and restaurants on the coast.
