Has anyone been to the Kefalonia Palace Hotel
and had a holiday with the cockroches in the smelly student dormes, abusive staff , and green pool ?

You poor thing. Havent been there but had a holiday from hell with Thomson at Christmas. Went on a Red Sea Cruise, ship was awful, staff abusive and contracted a virus. Awful.

I am sorry for what happened to you, I have had problems with Bristish travel agencies too. As a Greek, I suggest that you don't rely on these travel agents, but plan your holiday with info from the internet and travel guide books. It is perhaps more work, but you have much better holidays! and Greece is wonderful and it is worth going to teh right places to appreciate it and get your money's worth! email me if you need more info.
Plus, if you book with an agency you pre-pay everything, whereas if you book on your own you can leave if you don't liek the hotel and even turn them in to the Hellenic Tourist Organisation. If you choose the agencies because of special offers, well, you should be suspicious that there is a catch somewhere, some reason they are much cheaper!!

Why are you paying 25% or even 35% more for your holiday ?, the computer is the thing to save money , go to airlines ,boat or hotels on line , direct you get far better deals, i know its easy with the travel companies but just think they have to make money some how . where ever you go take a look around the hotels get there paper work if you like the place same with boats and planes and let them know your looking for next holiday use

No, sounds like heaven, is it 5star?
Take my tip and read trip adviser before going anywhere, at least it gives you an idea of what to expect in resorts and specific hotels,
Sue the hell out of them!!!
Did you get enough pictures? Always get the names and addresses of fellow inmates sorry, guests, when you experience this sort of service.

No, but I had the same problem with Thomas Cook, and they were real a***holes about it.....they said that we had no evidence that it was like that...even though the hotel shut the day after we left! We keep sending them letters though...we are NOT gunna let it drop! ahhh
