ID and E-Mail

Well in simple words we can say that ID is the identification of an individual in a limited area/approach whereas an e-mail is considered as a unique approachable eloctronic address worldwide as far as eloctronic media is concerned (Mail / Pictures etc.).

We can not reach an individual by just and id as it can be different for an individual for different purpose. For example, if i am having an account with two different banks my ID will be different in both the cases but if i am having just one e-mail id then it would remain same for both the cases.

It is not surprising that lots of websites are nowdays accepting e-mail address as their login id as using this mechanism they don't have to check the uniqueness of ID which is very important due to security features.

I hope you have got what you were looking for.
