do they not see us comming or not hear the sirens ?

Goffy, I used to follow the FD guys on their emergency runs for that very reason. Sometimes I would actually have to pull up next to them on my Harley and shake my fist at the driver to get them to pull over and stop!
Then they were totally shocked by the amount of the fine on that ticket... Sorry to say that some people just don't get it.

People seem to be in way too much of a hurry these days to get where they're going, more so than ever before. I've noticed this where I live and it disturbs me for many reasons. I don't have a car and I walk to and from work every day, and I've also noticed that people aren't as considerate towards pedestrians as they used to be. I thought it was simply a matter of living in a different place because in my hometown the drivers were always courteous, but that was several years ago so I suppose it is true that times have changed....

Because they are idiots
I don't play music loudly in my car so I can hear them and pull over
It is only for a second
Most of the time they are trying to drive and fighting with a teenager over the cell phone... and they just don't hear ti
But that is no excuse at all. It is the law for a reason. Some laws make sense

in the land down under, we dont pull over, we change lanes. and everyone, by law still does it. oo and if ur at a red light, the other lanes stop and ur allowed to go through and let it infront, then some ppl reverse idiotically (but thats the right thing to do) back to where they were (behind the lights) and some use it as an opportunity to go through.

a) accelerate
b) ignore it
c) immediately pull to the side of the road

I dont know where you are from,but here in the U.K we pull right over, well we do in the midlands anyway lol
