-osyter sauce vegetable such as baby kailan
-sambal kangkung
-chicken rice
-omelette wit onions
-french beans fried wit saute garlic
for indian
- nasi briyani
-chicken curry
-rendang mutton
-roti prata
-roti john
-orangy colored mee goreng
-murtabak
-chapatti
-soup tulang
for malay
-mee rebus
-nasi lemak
-nasi padang
-mee soto
-mee siam
-rendang beef or mutton (malay dun consume pork)
-nasi ayam or puyoh penyet
-curry chicken or curry beef
-ayam gulai
-vegetable such as brinjals and cabbage
-acah( preserved vege n fruit normally consist of carrots,cucumber,pineapple,etc)
mostly all dishes are spicy..eat wit sambal n rice
sometimes..malaysian do go for other cuisine such as japanese, vietnamese,korean thai,french,peranakan, indonesian (sudanese),etc. when they are lazy to dine out or cook elaborate dinner..they will eat instant noodles such as maggi mee, indo mee,etc

Staple is rice. Dishes normally consist of one or two dishes of meat, one or two dishes of veggie and maybe fish, steamed or fried. Curry, stir-fried, stew, steamed, they are all Malaysian food. Throw in a soup, especially for the Chinese.

well depends...
if u are from rich family u might havin a dinner in hard rock cafe or some expensive restaurant
and if u from midd level of family.maybe some "mamak" stall and enjoy some roti canai or roti naan instead
and if u from low income family u might just lower down ur taste...maybe some sardine and white rice....or istand maggi lool

varies every night for my husband and i:
Sometimes thai food, often japanese food. or we could have home cooked meal like lemak cili api, asam pedas, gulai ikan tempoyak, curry dish, penang laksa or steam fish. I am dying for chili crab, cant decide which restaurant to go to tonight..hmm.. anybody our there knows where to go for great halal chinese seafood?
ahahah... sorry i said i dont know.. its a habit of me answering question by asking..

rice....veggie...meat(except vegetarian)...fish...any thing that one can buy in the supermarket and it can be prepared in a record time...maybe kfcs for those who are too lazy to cook...after all it's finger lickin good!
