Yes, but I'm personally against anything beyond 1st trimester unless the mother's life is in danger.

Abortion is barely allowed as much as 24 weeks whilst severe issues of the toddler are chanced on. so as that toddler does no longer have survived besides. i don't have faith that anybody had an abortion at 24 weeks with out very stable reason. i think of the subject must be - shouldn't the age at which a start remains seen a miscarriage be replaced? If that toddler had died, it might have not won a start or dying certificates. the mum could be entitled to no maternity go away. How are females meant to grieve for their toddlers that have died whilst the toddler they gave start to that would have lived is labelled a miscarriage?

The baby may have survived, but what will its quality of life be? Probable severe neurological problems and mental retardation, blindness, deafness. Is that really the kind of life you want your child to have?
That said, second trimester (which is what 21 weeks is) abortions are rare. Most occur before 12 weeks. Banning something that doesn't happen frequently seems like a waste of time to me.
Also, I've never understood why anyone cares what other people do to their own bodies. I'm not making their choices, so I really don't think they have a right to make mine. Whether or not I have an abortion has no impact on your own reproductive status.
ETA:
According to the CDC, 87% of abortions performed are done before 13 weeks. Only 4.1% occured between 16-20 weeks of gestation, and only 1.4% were performed past 21 weeks.

Yes I do think the time limit should be dropped but I don't think it is very nice to post a question like this in the pregnancy category when the majority of people who use this section are looking for advice and help with their pregnancies and not to have a debate about abortions unless it affects them personally and they need genuine advice.

Yes unless the mothers life is at danger
and i agree abortion is wrong unless in extenuating circumstances like fatality for the mother and rape cases
Sry very pro life it annoys me when so many women out there struggle to get pregnant and others just have their precious babies flushed away

my personal opinion about abortions are that i would never get one..from day 1 to the last a baby is a baby. but some people get them for the correct reason too.
I am 24weeks pregnant and yet again it makes me think very deeply into things but yeh i do think it should be lowered but it does have its down sides as aposed to ups too. such as the baby's organs producing properly...
its a tricky question but i would say yes it should be lowered. =)
