no if it's on the outter lens, just use a good quality lens cloth. if it's on the inside of the lens try canned air. if it's a 35mm and the dust is on the mirror, then I would advise sending it to a professional so that you don't get more dirt on the mirrors, and what ever you do don't wipe the mirrors!! Especially with anything made with cotton as it'll leave cotton threads all over the mirrors and might even scratch it.

It's not actually broken. I'm guessing the camera still works fine and can take pictures. But are you really sure that dust IS in the lens? Or is it in your viewfinder? The viewfinder is the part of the camera where you look inside a hole to compose your photos. Oftentimes, dust do get in there because it is an open hole.
If this is not the problem, then I'm guessing your camera must be the kind where the lens can be taken off. Yes, it's easy for dust particles to get in there. If you have a cleaning kit and a manual that teaches you how to go about the cleaning, then you can clean it yourself. Otherwise, my advice is to take your equipment to a camera store and have a professional do the cleaning. In the meantime, just relax. Things like this do happen to the camera and it's definitely not broken.

If you must ask this, then I suggest you go back to using a standard 35mm camera or a disposable one....
No, it's not broken. Take better care of your camera next time. Keep it clean and put away when not in use.
