if diamond is called gold , gold is called silver , silver is called ruby and ruby is called emarald ,which is the cheapest ?

Whichever was the cheapest under its original name would still be the cheapest after the change.

As Shakespeare said, 'A rose by any other name would smell as sweet'.

If diamonds were considered to have the most value, then calling them 'cheese' or 'coal' wouldn't change that value.

Not sure of the reason for your 'question' but thanks for the mental excercise.
