My dr. told me not to clean any poop up..you should check out this site in one of the early weeks i belive it's like week 5 or 6 it tells you you should not pick up any poop, it can cause Toxoplasmosis here is the definition of it

A single-celled parasite called Toxoplasma gondii causes a disease known as toxoplasmosis. While the parasite is found throughout the world, more than 60 million people in the United States may be infected with the Toxoplasma parasite. Of those who are infected, very few have symptoms because a healthy person's immune system usually keeps the parasite from causing illness. However, pregnant women and individuals who have compromised immune systems should be cautious; for them, a Toxoplasma infection could cause serious health problems.

so i would be careful or call your dr. and ask them what they think and if you should or shouldn't clean up poop!

Do a Google search for reassurance, but -- you're fine; dog poo is fine.

Not a daft question, either.

"Overall, dogs do not pose any health risks for you and your developing baby while you are pregnant..."

(Almost sadly; I mean, I have cats, and I get nearly a year of somebody else cleaning the litterbox...)

If you have to pick up any pooh, I would er on the safe side and wear a painters mask ... you know the Lil white cup with the elastic band , and always wash hands arms thoroughly afterwards with an antibacterial wash.
