The first few answers given to your question are totally incorrect. Please ignore them.

These terms were developed by foreign policy analysts in the 1950's to delineate the world's countries.

The First World Nations were Western Europe, The US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Later Japan.

The Second World Nations were the the Communist Bloc Nations of the Soviet Union and its allies, and the People's Republic of China an it's allies.

The Third World Nations were the non-alligned nations of the developing world in Africa, Asia, and the Americas.

With the fall of communism, these terms are now somewhat anachronistic. We tend to use only the "Third World," today.

Yes after you mentioned that words.

Either 3rd world or 1st world are the creations of Wetern ideologist.

They creat that words to label those undeveloped economically to their mind. Thats undermined those countries mentally though they developed but with their own mould.

I never heard or read such terms when the civilization is led by others for example Muslims.

The US, Canada and Australia, plus some of the newer more established countries in South America (Brazil, etc) are the most well-known 2nd world countries.

1st World countries are those that had complex civilizations over 2000 years ago -- Europe, Central Asia, etc.

2nd World countries are their colonies.

3rd World countries are everything else they found later.
Most of Africa falls into this category, despite being the cradle of civilization, because of the definition of "civiliation" requires a fixed centralized government with defined borders, not migratory tribal rule.

There are other defintions for 1st/2nd/3rd world, but these are the ones that are the most objectively delineated.
