Gandhi Jee was a great leader and he can truely be called a hero for indians........i don't know about Indians why they are having misconception about Him but in my country though he was taken to be a political rivel of Jinnah but he is shown as a great leader for his conduct. And i simply love him and adore him for his great teachings .yes he was neutral and partition was the only solution for indians that time.........sorry to say but Muslims and hindus could not get along in the same place called united india..because hindus never accepted them as a part of this land and called them invaders.....its very common notion that i have heard from indians, 1/3 of your population is muslim and there you are facing problems with them and find it difficult to live togather, what could have been the situation when they had been living in united India???.............worse!! mark my words ! fact is that muslims in india are indian basically ,they were not imported from Arab but their great great parents had changed the religion and this is taken to be their fault.........ghandi je was aware of this fact and in the begining he was against the partition but later on when it became obvious that Muslim league is not going to accept this becuase of the above facts, he agreed........he was a wise man and i m sure if he had not let india devide ..........Indians would be abusing him more ! the favour that he had given to muslims or Pakistan was after the seperation when Indian governament was not willing to give Pakistan the decided asset, he didn't like this injustice and he protested against it and as a result had lost his life ! he was a man of principles and we would have been living under the same british governament if these leaders had not stuggled that much.......we are born free and are enjoying the liberty of living in a free state.....thats why we don't know the worth of our leaders....and this is no doubt a very sad thing...Phew ...........thanx God they are not alive... because this thing is hurting.... !

Mathematics, Astronomy, Theoretical Physics ...etc are extremely difficult subjects and most youngsters detest these. Does that mean THE SUBJECTS ARE INFERIOR OR IRRELEVANT? So also, just because many common people have misconceptions about Gandhi, does his greatness in any way diminish? NOT AT ALL. Personalities such as Aristotle, Socrates, Aadi Shankara, Isaac Newton, Leonardo Da Vinci ...and the hundreds of other human achievers and thinkers DO NOT NEED ANY SUPPORT from all sorts of persons who, by virtue of their cunning to achieve some power in the elite groups, consider themselves as "Torch Bearers". Recently, there was this peculiar incident in the city of CHENNAI (MADRAS). The DMK lead Government Placed a Statue of a Stalwart Cine Artiste' (SHIVAJI GANESAN) just opposite to that of the Great Mahatma. Many people protested, but these protests were overshadowed by the "mafia cult" of present day ruling elite. But does such action of "denigrating" the Statue of the Mahatma in any way reduce his Stature and relevance?..Not at all!!.
Be that as it may, we must also appreciate that in any Democratic system, we NEED to accept OTHER view points as well, for many people MAY NOT ACCEPT Gandhi's ideas as right.. We have NO RIGHT TO QUESTION that.
In the ultimate analyses, whether we like his ideas and ideals or not, THAT GANDHIJI WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SINGLE BIGGEST ACT OF NON VIOLENTLY DESTROYING THE BRITISH RAJ IN INDIA CANNOT BE DISPUTED..

Ghandi was an amazing man. Inspiring, honest, truthful, unselfish.
We have the same problem here in America where people think that Jesus would like the wars we are fighting, would like the judgement that is brought on certain groups of people, would not care about protecting our environment.
Now, I know Ghandi isn't a religious figure "per se", but the point I'm trying to make is the same. Good men throughout time often have their good intentions skewed for political, financial or idealogical gain.

For many Indians, Gandhi is just another boring textbook character (many of the youth will not forgive him for tormenting them in the history textbooks.)
As for the rest of the Indian public, Gandhi and his ideals are too far-fetched. Many of us just cannot comprehend that a person of such ideals could have ever existed. People's apathy towards Gandhi and all that he stood for, arises mainly because we are unable to identify with Gandhi's ideals in today's world.
The relevance of Gandhi's principles and teachings are being debated on a daily basis. It is true that ideas like buying only swadeshi goods seems outdated in a globalised world; but Non-Violence, Non-Co-operation and tolerance of others are more relevant today than ever before (especially when viewed in the context of international terrorism, racism and discrimination.)
The Government does little to improve Gandhi's stature. While they make an impressive event of the Gandhi Peace Prize and Gandhi Jayanthi; hiking of the defence budget, nuclear weapons and worsening agriculture do little to enhance his ideals. The Gujarat riots in Gandhi's own home state shattered all that he ever stood for.
Albert Einstein on Gandhi - "Generations to come will scarce believe that such a man as this, did ever in flesh and blood walk upon this earth."

its only natural. No human can be an angel. Its is the limitation of humankind that they r liable to err . it is upto a person which side of the personality u see.Rememmber a question can always be asked in both ways so every action can be seen as both ways.
No political figure in the history of mankind is controversy free so same is true for him also. So take it easy fellow if u like him keep on doing it but learn the reasons for loving him n let the others find fault with him.
Freedom of expression is a good thing. It opens more avenues of thought.

Who was Jinnah who allow him to control the Nation at that time ? Was it personal property of Jinnah or Gandhi to decide about it.The Great Bharat, may be the first civilization of the world, the land with bright history & sparkling future lost its present due to partition, The great land facing inveders from time to time who looted this land again & again then also it is rich by culture & wealth because pure is pure ! converted inveders & tendency of Jinnah are same considering nation. It was easily possible for him to stop this at that time but the So Called Ahimsa leads to killing of pure natives only still we are facing the same problem due to false partition because only Hindus from so called pakistan are transfered to Hindustan & converted inveders who don't have their own land in the world, who don't have own culture, to go & stay remained here & causing problem to this Great Nation is just because of one mistake by one person which may cause problem to generations of the natives.Remember no one is Against Gandhi, no question about his work ! but one very very small spark may lead to dispose petrol depot completly & some thing like petrol & spark is happening here in Hindustan about Gandhiji.
