Well, we really need a bit more information. Even something like, "for which position?" But since you didn't specify, I'll give you the information that I found based on Psycho-T's diet. In case you have no idea who he is, he's the UNC star center that does nothing but work out, play basketball, and eat, eat, eat. In a healthy way, of course. Here's a quote from the article I'm linking - "He conditions his body. He stretches his body. He puts the right things in his body," Williams says. "And that puts him in a position where he can do things a longer period of time that most people can't - at a higher level."

The focus extends from the weight room to the kitchen, where Hansbrough says some of his favorite meals - he eats five to six a day - involve fish, chicken and buffalo meat. Forget late-night Wendy's runs, Psycho T prefers rice, sweet potatoes and plenty of vegetables. "Whole Foods, that's my spot," Hansbrough says. Now he takes nutritional supplements religiously, including fish oil - which helps with everything from fat burning to pain management.

Hope that helped!

This is the best question any high school aged person trying to improve their basketball game has asked on here.

A few weeks ago some kid asked if his habit of drinking sodas "during" and after practice was the reason he had trouble with stamina during practices. I was like Geez, ya think?

I didn't use to always eat healthy, but I saw the movie Super Size Me and it scared me straight. I found this diet in Men's Health and I've kinda incorporated it into my own.

For breakfast I usually have oatmeal with craisins. Other times I'll have cereal (Raisin Bran, Cracklin Oat Bran, Wheaties, Total, Grape Nuts, something fairly healthy) occasionally I make eggs and mix in cheese sometimes cut vegetables for an omelet. Than I have a serving of cottage cheese or yogurt.

For a snack I'll have a fresh piece of fruit (plums, pears, nectarines, apples, oranges, bananas, raspberries, grapes, etc.) or sometimes a handful of mixed nuts

For lunch I get these lean chicken breasts at the grocery store 4 to a package it's like $6. They're great they're lean skinless, boneless and they heat up in the microwave in 3 1/2 minutes. I usually top them with a little mettled cheese. Sometimes I'll have steamed veggies too (asparagus, brocoli, sugar snap peas, califlower, squash, carrots, etc.)

For a snack I'll usually have another piece of fruit or sometimes some baby carrots or pickles. Sometimes I cut up tomatoes and cucumbers and sprinkle them with salt

For dinner it's back to the chicken breasts and melted cheese. Sometimes I make a pasta dish. Linguini and marinara sauce. I try and eat as much chicken and fish as I can. Sometimes I order out form Pei Wei and get a chicken vegetable dish in a lemon pepper sauce. But mostly it's the chicken breast and steamed veggies again.

Any other snacks are fresh fruit. And I only drink water, unsweetened Ice tea, or coffee no soda at all.

it's not a hard and fast rule, it's not like if I eat a candy bar I'll die. 3 weeks ago I was stuck at school and couldn't leave for 4 hours so I bought a Snickers bar to tide me over. Sunday night I was over at a friends house he ordered pepperoni pizza so I had a couple slices. It doesn't kill you every so often, but the majority of the time I'm eating healthy and my body thanks me for it, because I feel alot better during the day.

I hope that gives you a general idea. 2 big rules 1) no soda 2) no white bread. You'll do great just if you can start there.

Practice makes perfect... don't worry to much about diet, it wont get you to NBA, practice may do that.
Healthy food always helps ofcourse, but I don't think it's that important.

Go to school, get good grades and look for an alternative career in case your #1 option doesn't come to fruition.
