The point is in the title's question!
There are no guarantees that higher education will make one a success career wise. It does give one a better chance. Also, having little to no education can pretty much guarantee failure in the career world.

A good education doesn't guarantee success in the career world, but it will enhance an individual's chances of obtaining success in the career world. Career success depends on many other factors too, including an individual's interpersonal skills, personality style, problem-solving abilities, aptitude for learning, personal motivation, determination, and much more. The old saying, 'it's not what you know, but who you know' is still very much true in many career circles. But that said, education is a wonderful thing in itself, and everyone should strive to continue learning if not for career enhancement, then for personal growth. Good luck!

no it doesn't guarantee anything. It will definately help, but the history o your actions, your attitude and motivation coupled with your education make you a prime candidate. I would rather have an employee who only went to grade ten but is enthusiastic, willing to learn and driven to please customers than one who had a Masters degree in "So What", a grappy attitude and was unreliable.

I'm afraid not. It's a good start but doesn't have a guarantee. Hard work, perseverence, networking, resourcefulness, a positive attitude and confidence will get you a lot further.

Nothing in life is a guarantee.....period..........
everything in life is based on hard-work, luck and your effort. Without either you will certainely become a failure.....
With hard work you will get lucky at times...................with luck you will have to make the effort to make the luck work for you and any effort will require your hard work.
Education is an important tool to achieving the above three...its the head start over other people........it gives us info that will help make our lives better............literally...
thats my philosophy anyways...
cheers!

No, but it gets your foot in the door. Success is determined by the amount of risk you're willing to take. But if you were born into the "Lucky Sperm Club" of wealth and privilege, it don't hurt.

a good education renders you the opportunity to develop the tools you need to ply a trade. this is only the beginning. the real school is out there where you practice your trade and you will never stop learning.
