Listening to your heart is intuition, and that is quite the opposite of what you think with your head. The gut feeling is often another word for listening to your heart and feelings and intuition, so I'm not going to answer, since that's private and when I'm going to type it in, the risk for me of using my brain too much would not give an honest answer.

I think the heart can be deceptive because of all sorts of reasons. So if your heart is saying something to you wait and find out what your head thinks. Always weigh up the pros and cons first. Remember cause and effect in everything you do.

listening to your heart doesnt always work, you need an element of sanity thrown in there too, and this only comes with thinking rationally with your brain.

Sometimes you have to think ahead of the now to the future and if that makes your heart happy then do it.

I think that more often than not people try to follow their heart but they let their head get in the way when the route it puts them on gets tough.
