I Just moved into houston and began to live with my long term bf. of 1 year and 3 months and I'm not sure how things are going... it's a big shock for us.. although i do have my own place I haven't spent the night there yet and i don't know how to take how he is acting... some days he is up and others it just seems like he just wants me to go away... i also haven't been feeling well and i work the grave shift so all i do is sleep and whenim not asleep im up feeling bad so so my additude has been reflecting that. I need to know how to talk to him because assuming how he is feeling is not getting me anywhere... there is a big age diff. between us... 13 years and he is preety set in his ways. How do I approciate the situation and ask him without seeming like i'm nagging him and also, should i start living at my own place it's been 12 days...??? help me!

Open communication is vital to any relationship, so just confront him about living together. If he has issues, you need to know. If he doesn't communicate, make it known you are not a mind-reader and that you have other options. If you stay firm, but open, it shouldn't seem like you are nagging.

Age shouldn't be an issue so long as there isn't any problem with you both communicating. If at all possible, get a place you can call your own and work on the relationship to see if it'll take you both to the next steps. Working graveyard shift isn't helping either. Will it be possible for you to ask your supervisor if you can be transfered to a dayshift? This would allow you both to get to know each other better without having to second guess.

Talk to him. You two aren't seeing enough of each other in fun to make this work.
