one of the popular girls (who has a boyfriend) thinks i am sweet and last night i went to this party and she wanted me told me not to be shy and to come and be with her.
i really want to but i am to shy, and i think my friend is jelouse (no clue why) what do i do i rather be the popular girls friend rather than the dork..... <3

i don't want to be the popular girls friend just because shes popular but also because she is so nice and my dorky friend (lol) well i always get in fights with her....so don't call me shallow!!!

You should just go to the party and have fun! Although you are shy in nature, I guarentee if you go to the party, you'll feel nervous at first but eventually open up. Open up your horizons to new possibilities, there is nothing wrong with making new friends. You never know, the popular girl and your old friends may eventually become good friends, and all because of you.

You can befriend the popular girl, but don't betray your current friends. Sometimes popular girls fein interest in being friends with less popular girls to set them up for embarrassment. That probably isn't the case, but don't sell out your current friends either way. The more friends you have the better.

and I can't find my barbie, and she is all dressed for the party and I spilled ice cream on the lace on my dress, I think i will kill myself....... you have it bad. you need to chill and quit worrying so much, I think I got an ulcer by just reading your question. sometimes it pays to look ahead, sometimes it doesn't , this is one of the times you don't. when dealing with people, you can't predict what is gonna happen or their reason why they do things. all you can do is listen to that little voice inside of you that says it is or isn't safe, your little voice is on steroids. (maybe why you are timid). you aren't psychic so you don't know how all this will turn out. just take it easy and let your popular girl come to you and don't be so eager.
and quit fantasizing about how it could be. you end up with expectations that way.
