"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." I'm not sure who is credited for saying this but I sometimes find it wise advice.

It makes good sense to know what your enemies are up to. Just don't keep them so close that you sleep with them. Then you will really have a disaster of epic proportions.

"Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer" Its a better idea to keep a closer eye on your enemies rather than your friends. By keeping your enemies close, you know their moves, moods and characteristics, and you can even sometimes be undetected as their enemy.

Yes I believe that because the closer you keep your enemies the more you know what there up too.

yeah. but at the same time.....keeping them closer is the reason WHY they ARE your enemy.
by keeping them close you allow them to know your every move. and you allow them to know too much about you and those around you.
